Respect Life Ministry & Mother Teresa Program

About our ministry – Our mission is to advance the culture of life in our parish and our community through prayer, awareness, and community involvement.

Monthly prayer vigil at Planned Parenthood: Join us at 9:00 am on the 2nd Saturday of each month at the Planned Parenthood clinic at 38th and Pontiac. We pray the Rosary and Divine Mercy chaplet for an end to abortion and for God’s mercy and healing for all who are suffering because of abortion.

Mother Teresa Ministry to the Dying: The Mother Teresa ministry seeks to serve the spiritual needs of the dying in their last days. We will pray with and for the dying. This may include praying the Rosary with the person, spending time listening to them and reassuring them of God’s love for them, or praying for them silently at their side. Volunteers are not providing health care or other services – they are bringing Christ to the dying through prayer, love and compassion.

We serve those who are near death and desire to have someone visit them as they approach death – especially those who are in nursing homes or are alone. We are also honored to pray for those who do not need our physical presence.

If you or a loved one are in need of this ministry please contact the parish for more information.
